Round 1 Report 2007
HKS Drag Series Round 1 - The PTM Show 6th May 2007
The first round of the the first HKS Drag Series for Japanese cars got took place on Sunday 6th May at the PTM Show held at Santa Pod Raceway. The Pro field was smaller than had been expected due to many of the drivers that had entered not being able to get their cars ready in time. Simon Norris did make the meeting but unfortunately broke on the launch of his first run. Ross Juniper arrived in his second car but was not able to put in any competitive times.
In the final Tim Webster coasted to the event win after Steve Guirey pulled a red light.

HKS Street Class Report:
As in the Pro Class, the Street Class had a reduced field from the start which was rapidly reduced further when both the Fensport cars broke during qualifying. Jonny McKeon took the win after Steve Mann was pulled back from the line due to a reoccurring leak.

HKS FWD Class Report:
FWD was the closest class through qualifying and eliminations to the final, which Paul Jones the top qualifier won over Scott Whitelaw. Guy Chamberlain was already in his number two car at the start of the meeting and when that broke during qualifying he quickly jumped into his third car for eliminations but was knocked out in the first round (for future reference, a driver will only be able to swap cars during qualifying and only times set in the new car will be eligible).
